The Grenoble INP Foundation<\/a> inaugurait une nouvelle chaire ce jeudi<\/span> 6 octobre<\/span><\/span> \u00e0 l\u2019amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre de Grenoble INP<\/a><\/span><\/span> \u2013 <\/span>Phelma<\/span>, UGA<\/span>. Son nom\u202f:<\/span> Deep<\/span><\/a> Red. Elle est<\/span> port\u00e9e par le titulaire Jocelyn Chanussot<\/a> en collaboration avec le laboratoire GIPSA-<\/a><\/span>lab<\/span><\/a> et l\u2019entreprise <\/span>LYNRED<\/span><\/a>. Elle a pour but d\u2019accompagner la d\u00e9mocratisation des usages de l\u2019imagerie infrarouge.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le temps o\u00f9 l\u2019imagerie infrarouge ne servait que dans les domaines de la d\u00e9fense et de l\u2019a\u00e9rospatiale est r\u00e9volu. Il sert par exemple la thermographie afin de d\u00e9tecter pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment des zones de chaleur. Une aubaine pour \u00e9valuer les performances \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques des b\u00e2timents ou permettre aux pompiers de voir \u00e0 travers d\u2019\u00e9paisses fum\u00e9es.\u00a0 La chaire d\u2019excellence industrielle Deep Red va chercher \u00e0 d\u00e9mocratiser cet outil dans d\u2019autres sph\u00e8res.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cela fait partie des enjeux que s\u2019est fix\u00e9e la chaire Deep Red, pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e et inaugur\u00e9e jeudi 6 octobre \u00e0 l\u2019auditorium de Grenoble INP – Phelma.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En ouverture, Bernard Ugnon-Coussioz<\/a><\/strong>, directeur de la Fondation Grenoble INP, a rappel\u00e9 le r\u00f4le de cette structure dans l\u2019instauration des chaires. \u00ab\u202fNous sommes l\u00e0 pour inspirer par le progr\u00e8s et les sciences une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 durable.\u202f\u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fNous partageons les m\u00eames valeurs que nous pr\u00f4nons dans nos \u00e9coles, confirme Emmanuel Ma\u00eetre<\/a><\/strong>, vice-pr\u00e9sident adjoint en charge de la valorisation et entreprises chez Grenoble INP \u2013 UGA<\/a><\/strong>. Cette chaire r\u00e9unit des acteurs \u00e9clair\u00e9s qui ont une vision sur l\u2019avenir. Et Deep Red est \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e de plusieurs domaines scientifiques via l\u2019intelligence artificielle et l\u2019infrarouge notamment.\u202f\u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

En effet, pour que la chaire vive, il faut des protagonistes investis dans les milieux universitaires, de la recherche et de l\u2019industrie. D\u2019o\u00f9 l\u2019implication forte, ici, de LYNRED, deuxi\u00e8me entreprise mondiale dans le d\u00e9veloppement et la production de technologies infrarouges de haute qualit\u00e9.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fNous devons accompagner les utilisateurs pour davantage diffuser les possibles utilisations de l\u2019imagerie infrarouge, argumente David Billon-Lanfrey<\/a><\/strong>, directeur de la strat\u00e9gie \u00e0 LYNRED. Je suis heureux de d\u00e9marrer cette collaboration, car nous allons pouvoir d\u00e9velopper des comp\u00e9tences que nous n\u2019avons pas.\u202f\u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

De multiples pistes d\u2019\u00e9tudes\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Selon les utilisations de l\u2019imagerie infrarouge, plusieurs axes de travail seront \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 des enjeux diff\u00e9rents, comme le pr\u00e9sente Xavier Breni\u00e8re<\/a><\/strong>, responsable du laboratoire d\u2019applications chez LYNRED. \u00ab Nous devrons d\u00e9finir la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019image n\u00e9cessaire pour qu\u2019elle puisse <\/span>\u00eatre analys\u00e9e<\/span> par une intelligence artificielle ou un \u0153il humain. Il nous faudra faire des choix pour trouver un \u00e9quilibre entre la performance des algorithmes utilis\u00e9s et leur co\u00fbt (en puissance de calcul et en calibrations)<\/span><\/p>\n

Ensuite, les images visibles et infrarouges contiennent des informations compl\u00e9mentaires, mais leur fusion n\u2019est pas aussi simple qu\u2019une superposition. La recherche d\u2019un mode de fusion qui tire la meilleure partie de chaque image est le deuxi\u00e8me enjeu.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Enfin, nous devrons trouver un moyen pour faciliter l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation des images infrarouges auxquelles l\u2019\u0153il humain n\u2019est pas habitu\u00e9.\u202f\u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

C\u2019est l\u2019ensemble de ces param\u00e8tres que Jocelyn Chanussot, titulaire de la chaire, professeur <\/span>\u00e0 Grenob<\/span>le INP – UGA et chercheur au GIPSA-lab, et ses \u00e9quipes ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tudier. \u00ab\u202fExploiter de fa\u00e7on optimale l\u2019information qui est pr\u00e9sente dans les images infrarouges pose de nombreux d\u00e9fis. Les outils d\u2019intelligence artificielle et d\u2019apprentissage offrent des perspectives int\u00e9ressantes, mais qui n\u00e9cessitent une prise en compte explicite des sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9s de ce mode d\u2019imagerie.\u202fNous allons \u00e9galement collaborer avec des sp\u00e9cialistes des sciences cognitives afin de mieux comprendre comment un observateur humain analyse ces images particuli\u00e8res \u00bb<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De nombreux d\u00e9fis attendent donc la chaire Deep Red afin d\u2019accompagner la d\u00e9mocratisation des usages de l\u2019imagerie rouge.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
