This first edition was organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/fondation-grenoble-inp.fr\/en\/nos-actions\/cellulose-valley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cellulose Valley Chair<\/a> (Supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/fondation-grenoble-inp.fr\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grenoble INP Foundation<\/a>), the <a href=\"https:\/\/lgp2.grenoble-inp.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LGP2 laboratory<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.durinnpack.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DurInnPack<\/a>, in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanazawa-u.ac.jp\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kanazawa University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webctp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre Technique du Papier (CTP)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecxxi.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tec21<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/polynat.eu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carnot PolyNat<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/glycoalps.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GlycoAlpes<\/a>, <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grenoble-inp.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" Alpes<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>More than 150 participants from 60 countries took part in this international event, which brought together researchers, doctoral students, and industry professionals to discuss recent advances in the field of laboratory<\/a><\/strong> and the first lectures on sustainable chemistry as applied to polysaccharides and new strategies for synthesizing cellulose derivatives, the participants continued with three days of particularly fruitful scientific discussions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0e07656 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0e07656\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>The program was organized around three main themes:<\/p><div><ul><li><strong>Cellulose at various scales and its functionalization<\/strong>, with research focusing in particular on nanocellulose, processing methods, the fabrication of multiscale materials, and new approaches to biomass valorization.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Advanced and functional cellulose-based materials<\/strong>, through research on bio-based composites, aerogels, membranes, technical textiles, energy materials, and environmental applications.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Applications for packaging and sustainable end-of-life management<\/strong>, with presentations on recyclability, biodegradability, life-cycle assessments, new packaging materials, and cellulose forming processes.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element href=\"https:\/\/fondation-grenoble-inp.fr\/en\/nos-actions\/cellulose-valley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cellulose Valley Chair<\/a><\/strong>, professor at <strong><a It aims to accelerate the development of cellulose-based packaging solutions and to support the sustainable transformation of industrial sectors in response to new environmental and regulatory
