Certains points de fonctionnement, pr\u00e9vus ou non initialement, entrainent des conditions hydrodynamiques sp\u00e9cifiques susceptibles de produire des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de cavitation eux-m\u00eames \u00e0 l\u2019origine d\u2019endommagement d\u2019\u00e9rosion de cavitation engendr\u00e9 par les impacts r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9s des bulles de vapeurs qui implosent \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des aubes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les cons\u00e9quences d\u2019un tel endommagement peuvent \u00eatre directes (modification de la rugosit\u00e9 de surface, perte de masse, propagation de fissures, etc.) ou bien indirectes (diminution du rendement, vibration m\u00e9canique, corrosion suite \u00e0 la rupture d\u2019un film passif, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project objective<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;objectif du projet est d\u2019\u00e9tablir un mod\u00e8le d\u2019endommagement d\u2019\u00e9rosion par cavitation de nuances d\u2019acier super-martensitique X3CrNiMo13-4 et X4CrNiMo16-5-1 dans des conditions mod\u00e9lis\u00e9es en laboratoire. Afin de comprendre l\u2019influence de la microstructure sur les endommagements li\u00e9s la cavitation, deux \u00e9tats m\u00e9tallurgiques (QT780 et QT900) sont \u00e9tudi\u00e9s par nuance d\u2019aciers inoxydables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9rosion de cavitation est g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e sur les mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 l\u2019aide de deux dispositifs :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Un tunnel hydrodynamique pr\u00e9sent au laboratoire LEGI. La cavitation est g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par une augmentation locale de la vitesse d&rsquo;un \u00e9coulement confin\u00e9 dans une veine hydraulique. Dans cette installation, la vitesse de l&rsquo;eau peut aller jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 90m\/s.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Un dispositif exp\u00e9rimental compos\u00e9 d\u2019un processeur \u00e0 ultrasons (sonotrode). Dans ce cas, la cavitation est g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e par les ondes acoustiques transmises dans l&rsquo;eau par la sonotrode. Dans ce dispositif, la vitesse du fluide est donc nulle mais la fr\u00e9quence des impacts est tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9e.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Les caract\u00e9risations des endommagements sont men\u00e9es en parall\u00e8le :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>En surface : analyse du changement de topologie de surface (profilom\u00e9trie, microscope \u00e9lectronique \u00e0 balayage, microscope \u00e0 forces atomiques)<\/li><li>En volume : observation de la propagation des fissures et des d\u00e9fauts (tomographie aux rayons-X : en laboratoire et \u00e0 l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esrf.fr\/fr\/home\/about.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ESRF<\/a>).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019originalit\u00e9 du projet est que le dispositif \u00e0 ultrasons peut s&rsquo;installer dans un tomographe \u00e0 rayons X, en laboratoire ou bien \u00e0 l\u2019ESRF. Ce couplage moyen d\u2019essais\/caract\u00e9risation permet ainsi de r\u00e9aliser des observations <em>in-situ<\/em> des m\u00e9canismes d\u2019endommagement (\u00e9volution spatio-temporelle des fissures).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>R\u00e9sultat attendu<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La compr\u00e9hension des m\u00e9canismes d\u2019endommagement doit permettre \u00e0 General Electric de mieux s\u00e9lectionner les mat\u00e9riaux en fonction des conditions de sollicitations attendues ou bien de d\u00e9velopper des rev\u00eatements pour limiter les
