On January 28, 2025, around thirty students from schools in Grenoble INP – UGA participated in Kaleidoscope Day, co-organized by teachers Christian Defélix and Andreas Riel.
This day allowed participants to:
1- Strengthen their understanding of Industry 4.0 and its challenges,
2- Bringing engineers and managers together, promoting mutual enrichment of visions,
3- Discovering digital and organizational transformation in the field of an industrial company.
This is the second edition of Kaléidoscope supported by the ' Industry 4.h Chair, following the first in 2024.
A varied and immersive program
The students took part in several activities, including:
- ' Alternating visits to the F-Lab and the Customer & Innovation Lab,
- ' meetings with managers and experts,
- ' interventions by Christian Defélix and Andreas Riel on the human and technological challenges of Industry 4.0,
- a company visit Schneider Electric, focusing on observing the transformations brought about by Industry 4.0.
At Schneider, the students analyzed:
- The hallmarks of Industry 4.0 in action
- Changes in work organization and working conditions
- Changes in professions and skills
- The change management strategy implemented by the company
Finally, students were invited to join the YML Network, a European network of young people committed to a sustainable, digital, and human-centered industry.
