The project:
In the context of the transition to a circular economy, future engineers and decision-makers must develop the skills needed to evaluate and optimize various strategies for managing end-of-life products. The Circular Factory project involves the design and evaluation of an educational board game that allows participants to make decisions regarding the life cycle management of electric vehicle batteries. The game incorporates economic, environmental, and social dimensions and raises learners’ awareness of the principles of the circular economy through realistic, collaborative scenarios.
Objectives:
– Raise awareness of the principles of the circular economy.
– Understanding strategies for recycling, remanufacturing, and reuse
– Develop decision-making skills in a complex industrial setting.
– Promote collaboration and resource management.
– Educate learners about issues related to the life cycle of electric vehicle batteries.
Results:
– Development of an innovative educational serious game.
– Building skills in the circular economy and decision-making.
– Validation of the program with students and professionals (120 students have already tested the game).
