The project:
GreenDiLT is an Erasmus+ project dedicated to assessing and reducing the environmental impact of digital technologies used in teaching and learning. Faced with the ever-increasing use of digital technologies in education, higher education institutions are confronted with a dual challenge: accelerating their digital transformation while meeting sustainable development and energy efficiency goals. The project aims to support educational communities in adopting more responsible digital practices through assessment tools, training, and educational resources dedicated to digital efficiency.

Objectives:
– Assess the environmental impact of digital teaching and learning practices.
– Raise awareness among students, faculty, and staff about the challenges of responsible digital technology.
– Develop skills related to digital moderation.
– Provide practical tools to reduce the environmental impact of digital technologies in education.

Results:
– Development of a sustainability assessment toolkit to measure the environmental footprint of digital teaching practices.
– Organizing awareness-raising workshops for students, faculty, and administrative and technical staff.
– Implementation of a modular training program offering concrete steps to reduce the environmental impact of digital technology.
