The Industry 4.H Chair at the 34th EFVET Annual Conference

The ' Industry 4.h Chair had the pleasure of participating in the 34th EFVET 2025 Annual Conference, held this year in Fatima, Portugal. This edition was devoted to a key theme for the world of vocational education and training (VET): the well-being and mental health of learners and teachers, a subject closely linked to the Chair's mission, which places people at the heart of the industrial transformation towards Industry 4.0 and 5.0.

A global gathering to address the challenges of digitalisation

The event brought together nearly 300 European participants as well as delegations from Asia, Africa and America. In total, more than 450 international experts, teachers, researchers, VET professionals and learners discussed the effects of digitalisation, automation and emerging technologies on learning conditions and the psychological balance of educational communities.

Discussions focused in particular on how to support institutions and learners in an increasingly digitalised environment, while preserving quality of life, motivation and the ability to adapt to new professions.

Highlighting the Chair's collaborations and teaching practices

The ' Industry 4.h Chair took advantage of this international meeting to highlight her collaborations with vocational education and training (VET) stakeholders, as well as the best practices developed as part of job-oriented educational programmes for the industry of the future.

She also contributed to an international round table, during which she presented the Chair's activities and projects, its innovative educational initiatives, and its approach focused on advanced technologies, simulation, serious games, and approaches that put people back at the centre of industrial systems.

This exchange strengthened ties with other European institutions and opened up new opportunities for cooperation on shared projects.

A renewed commitment to modern, people-oriented and responsible training

The Chair's participation in EFVET 2025 fully illustrates its commitment to providing excellent vocational training that focuses on the well-being of learners and teachers and supports the skills needed for the industries of the future. It thus helps to make industrial professions more attractive to young talent and supports their skills development. By taking part in these international exchanges, the ' Industry 4.h Chair reaffirms its role: to help educational establishments and teaching teams transform their practices, and to support the emergence of a European industry capable of reconciling innovation, responsibility and human well-being.
